Inspection and Verification

NOTE: Refer to Description and Operation, Intelligent Access (IA) with Push Button Start in Anti-Theft - Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) Anti-Theft - Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) to review the procedures for achieving the various ignition states (ignition in accessory, ignition on, ignition start, ignition off) on vehicles with this feature.

1. Verify the customer concern.

2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of electrical damage.

3. If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.
