Sunshade - Roof

Principles of Operation

NOTE: If the vehicle is equipped with a roof opening panel, refer to Roof Opening Panel Description and Operation.

The power sunshade system consists of the following components:

- Sunshade - front
- Sunshade - rear
- Sunshade track - front
- Sunshade track - rear
- Sunshade motor
- Sunshade cable assembly
- Sunshade switch

The power sunshade controls are located in the overhead console. If the vehicle is equipped with a fixed glass roof, the switch will be in the center position. To open the power sunshades, press and release the switch. The front and rear sunshades will open simultaneously.

Power Sunshade

The power sunshade feature uses an integrated motor and module. The sunshade switch supplies ground signal(s) to the sunshade motor to request the selected mode of operation. For information regarding power sunshade operation, refer to the Owner's Literature.

The power sunshade module must be initialized when one of the following occurs:

- The replacement or removal of the sunshade motor
- The shade(s) are removed or replaced
