Pinpoint Test AJ: The Autolock Does Not Operate Correctly
Normal Operation
The Remote Function Actuator (RFA) module energizes the lock relay based upon input from the door ajar switches, the Transmission Range (TR) sensor, and the vehicle speed signal. The RFA (Remote Function Actuator) module receives the door ajar switches, vehicle speed signal and the TR (Transmission Range) sensor input from the Body Control Module (BCM) over the Medium Speed Controller Area Network (MS-CAN). The RFA (Remote Function Actuator) module locks the doors when the following sequence of conditions is met:
- all the doors are closed
- the ignition is in the RUN mode
- the vehicle is shifted into any gear putting the vehicle in motion
- the vehicle attains a speed greater than 20 km/h (12 mph)
