Pinpoint Test AH: No Medium Speed Controller Area Network (MS-CAN) Communication, All Modules Are Not Responding
Normal Operation
The Medium Speed Controller Area Network (MS-CAN) uses an unshielded twisted pair cable.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Accessory Protocol Interface Module (APIM) (if equipped)
- Audio Control Module (ACM)
- Audio Digital Signal Processing (DSP) module (if equipped)
- Driver Door Module (DDM) (if equipped)
- Driver Seat Module (DSM) (if equipped)
- Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module (DCSM) (if equipped)
- Front Controls Interface Module (FCIM)
- Liftgate/Trunk Module (LTM)
- Passenger Climate Controlled Seat Module (PCSM) (part of the steering gear) (if equipped)
- Headlamp Control Module 2 (HCM-2) (if equipped)
- HVAC module (if equipped)
- Interior Lighting Control Module (ILCM) (if equipped)
- Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) (gateway module)
- Rear Entertainment Module (RETM) (if equipped)
- Rear Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (RHVAC) module (if equipped)
- Remote Function Actuator (RFA) module (if equipped)

PINPOINT TEST AH : NO MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) COMMUNICATION, ALL MODULES ARE NOT RESPONDING
NOTICE: Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
NOTE: Most faults are due to connector and/or wiring concerns. Carry out a thorough inspection and verification before proceeding with the pinpoint test. Communications Network
NOTE: Failure to disconnect the battery when instructed will result in false resistance readings.
AH1 CHECK THE DLC (Data Link Connector) PINS FOR DAMAGE
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect the scan tool cable from the Data Link Connector (DLC).
- Inspect DLC (Data Link Connector) pins 3 and 11 for damage.
Are DLC (Data Link Connector) pins 3 and 11 OK?
Yes
GO to AH2.
No
REPAIR the DLC (Data Link Connector) as necessary. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the network test with the scan tool.
AH2 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) TERMINATION RESISTANCE
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect: Negative Battery Cable.
- Measure the resistance between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side.
Is the resistance between 54 and 66 ohms?
Yes
GO to AH3.
No
GO to AH5.
AH3 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (+) AND MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (-) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
- Measure the resistance between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and ground; and between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side and ground.
Are the resistances greater than 1,000 ohms?
Yes
GO to AH4.
No
GO to AH38.
AH4 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (+) AND MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (-) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
- Connect: Negative Battery Cable.
- Ignition ON.
- Measure the voltage between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and ground; and between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side and ground.
Is the voltage greater than 6 volts?
Yes
REPAIR the circuit. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the network test with the scan tool.
No
The MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) has tested within specifications. GO to Pinpoint Test AG to diagnose the intermittent MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) fault. AH5 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) TERMINATION RESISTOR
- Measure the resistance between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side.
Is the resistance between 108 and 132 ohms?
Yes
GO to AH6.
No
GO to AH9.
AH6 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) TERMINATION RESISTOR WITH THE SJB (Smart Junction Box) DISCONNECTED
- Disconnect: Smart Junction Box (SJB) C2280B.
- Measure the resistance between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side.
Is the resistance between 108 and 132 ohms?
Yes
GO to AH7.
No
GO to AH8.
AH7 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) CIRCUITS BETWEEN THE SJB (Smart Junction Box) AND THE DLC (Data Link Connector) FOR AN OPEN
- Measure the resistance between the SJB (Smart Junction Box) C2280B-37, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side.
- Measure the resistance between the SJB (Smart Junction Box) C2280B-38, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side and the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side.
Are the resistances less than 5 ohms?
Yes
CONNECT the negative battery cable. GO to AH65.
No
REPAIR the circuit in question. CONNECT the negative battery cable. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the network test with the scan tool.
AH8 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) CIRCUITS BETWEEN THE IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) AND THE DLC (Data Link Connector) FOR AN OPEN
- Disconnect: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) C220.
- Measure the resistance between the IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) C220-12, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side.
- Measure the resistance between the IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) C220-13, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side and the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side.
Are the resistances less than 5 ohms?
Yes
CONNECT the negative battery cable. GO to AH73.
No
REPAIR the circuit in question. CONNECT the negative battery cable. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the network test with the scan tool.
AH9 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (+) AND MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (-) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TOGETHER
- Measure the resistance between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
GO to AH11.
No
GO to AH10.
AH10 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (+) AND MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (-) CIRCUITS FOR AN OPEN
- Measure the resistance between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side.
Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?
Yes
REPAIR the circuit in question. CONNECT the negative battery cable. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the network test with the scan tool.
No
A capacitor internal to a module may still be draining causing irregular resistance readings. WAIT 5 minutes. REPEAT the pinpoint test.
AH11 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (+) AND MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (-) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TOGETHER WITH THE SJB (Smart Junction Box) DISCONNECTED
- Disconnect: SJB (Smart Junction Box) C2280B.
- Measure the resistance between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
If the vehicle is equipped with a Remote Function Actuator (RFA) module, GO to AH12.
If the vehicle is not equipped with an RFA (Remote Function Actuator) module, GO to AH13.
No
CONNECT the negative battery cable. GO to AH65.
AH12 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (+) AND MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (-) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TOGETHER WITH THE RFA (Remote Function Actuator) MODULE DISCONNECTED
- Disconnect: RFA (Remote Function Actuator) Module C2153D.
- Measure the resistance between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
GO to AH13.
No
CONNECT the negative battery cable. GO to AH66.
AH13 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (+) AND MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (-) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TOGETHER WITH THE ACM (Audio Control Module) DISCONNECTED
- Disconnect: Audio Control Module (ACM) C240C.
- Measure the resistance between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
If the vehicle is equipped with an audio Digital Signal Processing (DSP) module, GO to AH14.
If the vehicle is not equipped with an audio DSP (Digital Signal Processing) module, GO to AH15.
No
CONNECT the negative battery cable. GO to AH67.
AH14 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (+) AND MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (-) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TOGETHER WITH THE AUDIO DSP (Digital Signal Processing) MODULE DISCONNECTED
- Disconnect: Audio DSP (Digital Signal Processing) Module C4326A.
- Measure the resistance between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
GO to AH15.
No
CONNECT the negative battery cable. GO to AH68.
AH15 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (+) AND MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (-) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TOGETHER WITH THE FCIM (Front Controls Interface Module) DISCONNECTED
- Disconnect: Front Controls Interface Module (FCIM) C2403.
- Measure the resistance between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
If the vehicle is equipped with a Liftgate/Trunk Module (LTM), GO to AH16.
If the vehicle is not equipped with an LTM (Liftgate/Trunk Module), GO to AH17.
No
CONNECT the negative battery cable. GO to AH69.
AH16 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (+) AND MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (-) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TOGETHER WITH THE LTM (Liftgate/Trunk Module) DISCONNECTED
- Disconnect: LTM (Liftgate/Trunk Module) C4174B.
- Measure the resistance between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
GO to AH17.
No
CONNECT the negative battery cable. GO to AH70.
AH17 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (+) AND MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (-) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TOGETHER WITH THE HVAC MODULE DISCONNECTED
- Disconnect: HVAC Module C2356A.
- Measure the resistance between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
If the vehicle is equipped with a Passenger Climate Controlled Seat Module (PCSM), GO to AH18.
If the vehicle is not equipped with a PCSM (Passenger Climate Controlled Seat Module), GO to AH19.
No
CONNECT the negative battery cable. GO to AH71.
AH18 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (+) AND MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (-) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TOGETHER WITH THE PCSM (Passenger Climate Controlled Seat Module) DISCONNECTED
- Disconnect: PCSM (Passenger Climate Controlled Seat Module) C3365C.
- Measure the resistance between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
GO to AH19.
No
CONNECT the negative battery cable. GO to AH72.
AH19 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (+) AND MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (-) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TOGETHER WITH THE IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) DISCONNECTED
- Disconnect: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) C220.
- Measure the resistance between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
If the vehicle is equipped with an Interior Lighting Control Module (ILCM), GO to AH20.
If the vehicle is not equipped with an ILCM (Interior Lighting Control Module), GO to AH21.
No
CONNECT the negative battery cable. GO to AH73.
AH20 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (+) AND MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (-) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TOGETHER WITH THE ILCM (Interior Lighting Control Module) DISCONNECTED
- Disconnect: ILCM (Interior Lighting Control Module) C3256.
- Measure the resistance between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
GO to AH21.
No
CONNECT the negative battery cable. GO to AH74.
AH21 VERIFY VEHICLE EQUIPMENT - DSM (Driver Seat Module)
- Verify whether the vehicle is equipped with a Driver Seat Module (DSM).
Is the vehicle equipped with a DSM (Driver Seat Module)?
Yes
GO to AH22.
No
GO to AH23.
AH22 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (+) AND MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (-) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TOGETHER WITH THE DSM (Driver Seat Module) DISCONNECTED
- Disconnect: DSM (Driver Seat Module) C341D.
- Measure the resistance between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
GO to AH23.
No
CONNECT the negative battery cable. GO to AH75.
AH23 VERIFY VEHICLE EQUIPMENT - DCSM (Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module)
- Verify whether the vehicle is equipped with a Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module (DCSM).
Is the vehicle equipped with a DCSM (Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module)?
Yes
GO to AH24.
No
GO to AH25.
AH24 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (+) AND MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (-) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TOGETHER WITH THE DCSM (Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module) DISCONNECTED
- Disconnect: DCSM (Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module) C3265C.
- Measure the resistance between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
GO to AH25.
No
CONNECT the negative battery cable. GO to AH76.
AH25 VERIFY VEHICLE EQUIPMENT - APIM (Accessory Protocol Interface Module)
- Verify whether the vehicle is equipped with an Accessory Protocol Interface Module (APIM).
Is the vehicle equipped with an APIM (Accessory Protocol Interface Module)?
Yes
GO to AH26.
No
GO to AH27.
AH26 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (+) AND MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (-) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TOGETHER WITH THE APIM (Accessory Protocol Interface Module) DISCONNECTED
- Disconnect: APIM (Accessory Protocol Interface Module) C3342.
- Measure the resistance between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
GO to AH27.
No
CONNECT the negative battery cable. GO to AH77.
AH27 VERIFY VEHICLE EQUIPMENT - DDM (Driver Door Module)
- Verify whether the vehicle is equipped with a Driver Door Module (DDM).
Is the vehicle equipped with a DDM (Driver Door Module)?
Yes
GO to AH28.
No
GO to AH29.
AH28 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (+) AND MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (-) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TOGETHER WITH THE DDM (Driver Door Module) DISCONNECTED
- Disconnect: DDM (Driver Door Module) C501A.
- Measure the resistance between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
GO to AH29.
No
CONNECT the negative battery cable. GO to AH78.
AH29 VERIFY VEHICLE EQUIPMENT - HCM-2 (Headlamp Control Module 2)
- Verify whether the vehicle is equipped with a Headlamp Control Module 2 (HCM-2).
Is the vehicle equipped with an HCM-2 (Headlamp Control Module 2)?
Yes
GO to AH30.
No
GO to AH31.
AH30 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (+) AND MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (-) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TOGETHER WITH THE HCM-2 (Headlamp Control Module 2) DISCONNECTED
- Disconnect: HCM-2 (Headlamp Control Module 2) Inline C913.
- Measure the resistance between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
GO to AH31.
No
CONNECT the negative battery cable. GO to AH79.
AH31 VERIFY VEHICLE EQUIPMENT - RHVAC (Rear Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning) MODULE
- Verify whether the vehicle is equipped with a Rear Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (RHVAC) module.
Is the vehicle equipped with an RHVAC (Rear Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning) module?
Yes
GO to AH32.
No
GO to AH33.
AH32 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (+) AND MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (-) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TOGETHER WITH THE RHVAC (Rear Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning) MODULE DISCONNECTED
- Disconnect: RHVAC (Rear Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning) Module C9115.
- Measure the resistance between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
GO to AH33.
No
CONNECT the negative battery cable. GO to AH80.
AH33 VERIFY VEHICLE EQUIPMENT - RETM (Rear Entertainment Module)
- Verify whether the vehicle is equipped with a Rear Entertainment Module (RETM).
Is the vehicle equipped with an RETM (Rear Entertainment Module)?
Yes
GO to AH34.
No
GO to AH35.
AH34 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (+) AND MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (-) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TOGETHER WITH THE RETM (Rear Entertainment Module) DISCONNECTED
- Disconnect: RETM (Rear Entertainment Module) C9115.
- Measure the resistance between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
GO to AH35.
No
CONNECT the negative battery cable. GO to AH81.
AH35 VERIFY VEHICLE EQUIPMENT - SIDE OBSTACLE DETECTION
- Verify whether the vehicle is equipped with side obstacle detection.
Is the vehicle equipped with side obstacle detection?
Yes
GO to AH36.
No
REPAIR the circuits. CONNECT all modules. CONNECT the negative battery cable. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the network test with the scan tool.
AH36 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (+) AND MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (-) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TOGETHER WITH THE SOD-L (Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Left) DISCONNECTED
- Disconnect: Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Left (SOD-L) C4230.
- Measure the resistance between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
GO to AH37.
No
CONNECT the negative battery cable. GO to AH82.
AH37 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (+) AND MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (-) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TOGETHER WITH THE SOD-R (Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Right) DISCONNECTED
- Disconnect: Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Right (SOD-R) C4229.
- Measure the resistance between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
REPAIR the circuit. CONNECT all modules. CONNECT the negative battery cable. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the network test with the scan tool.
No
CONNECT the negative battery cable. GO to AH83.
AH38 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (+) AND MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (-) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TO GROUND WITH THE SJB (Smart Junction Box) DISCONNECTED
- Disconnect: SJB (Smart Junction Box) C2280B.
- Measure the resistance between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and ground; and between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side and ground.
Are the resistances greater than 1,000 ohms?
Yes
CONNECT the negative battery cable. GO to AH65.
No
GO to AH39.
AH39 CHECK THE MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (+) AND MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network) (-) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TO GROUND WITH THE RFA (Remote Function Actuator) MODULE DISCONNECTED
- Disconnect: RFA (Remote Function Actuator) Module C2153D.
- Measure the resistance between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-3, circuit VDB06 (GY/OG), harness side and ground; and between the DLC (Data Link Connector) C251-11, circuit VDB07 (VT/OG), harness side and ground.
Are the resistances greater than 1,000 ohms?
Yes
CONNECT the negative battery cable. GO to AH66.
No
GO to AH40.
