U2100:41
Anti-Lock Control
Pinpoint Test P: DTCs U2100:00, U2100:41, U2100:55, U2101:00, and U3000:43
Normal Operation
The operating voltage required to supply the ABS module, hydraulic pump and isolation valves is between 10 and 17 volts.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- ABS module
- High or low ABS module voltage
- ABS module configuration
- ABS module calibration
PINPOINT TEST P : DTCs U2100:00, U2100:41, U2100:55, U2101:00, AND U3000:43
P1 CHECK FOR ABS MODULE VOLTAGE DTCs
- Ignition ON.
- Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Self-Test- ABS Module.
- Record all ABS module DTCs that are present.
Is DTC U3003:16 or U3003:17 present?
Yes
For DTC 3003:16, GO to Pinpoint Test M Pinpoint Test M: DTC U3003:16.
For DTC 3003:17, GO to Pinpoint Test N Pinpoint Test N: DTCs U3003:17.
No
GO to P2.
P2 CHECK FOR ABS MODULE VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)
- Review the DTCs recorded in the previous step.
Is DTC U3002:62 present?
Yes
RECONFIGURE the ABS module. FOLLOW the instructions on the scan tool. FOLLOW the IVD initialization process and CALIBRATE the ABS module. CLEAR the DTCs. CYCLE the ignition key. REPEAT the self-test. If DTC U2100:00, U2100:41, U2100:55, U2101:00, or U3000:43 returns, INSTALL a new ABS module. REFER to Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Module .
For vehicles without adaptive cruise control, INSTALL a new ABS module. REFER to Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Module . TEST the system for normal operation.
For vehicles with adaptive cruise control, INSTALL a new HCU (Hydraulic Control Unit). REFER to Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) .
No
GO to P3.
P3 RECALIBRATE THE ABS MODULE
- Using a scan tool, carry out the IVD Initialization procedure.
Does the ABS module calibrate?
Yes
CLEAR the DTCs. CYCLE the ignition key. WAIT 1 minute before ignition ON.
No
GO to P4.
P4 CHECK FOR CORRECT ABS MODULE OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect: ABS Module C135.
- Check for:
- corrosion
- pushed-out pins
- spread terminals
- Connect: ABS Module C135.
- Make sure the connector seats correctly, then operate the system and verify the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
Yes
For vehicles without adaptive cruise control, INSTALL a new ABS module. REFER to Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Module . TEST the system for normal operation.
For vehicles with adaptive cruise control, INSTALL a new HCU (Hydraulic Control Unit). REFER to Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) .
No
The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
