Water Pump: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery cables and relieve fuel pressure as outlined under Technician Safety Information.
2. Drain engine coolant.
3. Remove fan shroud and fan bolts.
4. Lift drive belt tensioner in a counterclockwise direction and remove drive belt.
5. Remove water pump pulley and disconnect heater hose from water pump.
6. Remove timing belt outer cover.
7. Remove water pump and gasket.
8. Reverse procedure to install using new gasket and suitable sealant.
