A. VEHICLE INSPECTION PROCEDURE





1. Verify that the vehicle is within the ranges shown.

- If the vehicle is within the above range, proceed to step 2.

- If the vehicle is not within the above range, return the vehicle to the customer or inventory.





2. Check the physical connection of the cruise control deactivation switch. This inspection should be done by the Service Consultant to ensure the necessity of the interim repair.





3. If the customer chooses not to have the interim repair performed, the "Acknowledgement of Interim Service Repair form shown must be completed by the dealer and signed by the customer.

B. PHASE 1 REPAIR PROCEDURE

INTERIM PROCEDURE

1. Disconnect the speed control deactivation switch.

2. Using vinyl tape, cover the end of the deactivation switch harness connector to prevent dirt and debris from entering the connector.





3. Secure the connector to the speed control cable or another available location using a tie-strap to prevent rattling or contact with other components. Keep the harness away from the power distribution box to avoid chafing the harness.

C. CAMPAIGN LABEL INSTALLATION

A campaign label should NOT be placed on the vehicle after the interim repair is performed.
