DESCRIPTION

Some 2001-2002 B4000's may exhibit a primary timing chain rattle noise between 2000-3000 RPM. The noise is most noticeable with a cold engine, but may be present after warm up. The noise is normally heard during acceleration between 2400-2500 RPM. Replace the parts supplied in the Primary Timing Chain Tensioner Kit using the repair procedure below. The Kit includes: timing chain tensioner, timing chain guide, crankshaft sprockets.
