Assembly Note1. Install the front/overdrive one-way clutch into the special tool with the brass end cap facing up.
Note: This step only needs to be carried out if there is damage to the bearing.
2. Inspect that the front/overdrive one-way clutch is flush with the special tool.
Note: This step only needs to be carried out if there is damage to the bearing.
3. Assemble the special tools with the front/overdrive one-way clutch onto the center shaft.
Note: This step only needs to be carried out if there is damage to the bearing.
4. Push down on the center shaft to seat the front/overdrive one-way clutch into the center shaft.
Note: This step only needs to be carried out if there is damage to the bearing.
5. Inspect the front/overdrive one-way clutch for proper installation and function. The front/overdrive one way clutch tabs should be flush with the center shaft.
Note: This step only needs to be carried out if there is damage to the bearing.
6. Install the center shaft and one-way clutch.
1) Install the center shaft and one-way clutch.
2) Install the center shaft snap ring.
