Cylinder Head Assembly
CYLINDER HEADLH
Tighten in 6 stages in the sequence shown.
Tighten to 40 Nm {4.1 kgf-m, 30 ft-lbf}.
Tighten bolts 90 degrees.
Loosen 1 full turn.
Tighten to 40 Nm {4.1 kgf-m, 30 ft-lbf}.
Tighten bolts 90 degrees.
Tighten bolts 90 degrees.
RH
Tighten in 6 stages in the sequence shown.
Tighten to 40 Nm {4.1 kgf-m, 30 ft-lbf}.
Tighten bolts 90 degrees.
Loosen one full turn.
Tighten to 40 Nm {4.1 kgf-m, 30 ft-lbf}.
Tighten 90 degrees.
Tighten 90 degrees.
BOLT RE-USABILITY
LH
New cylinder head bolts must be installed. They are torque-to-yield designed and cannot be reused.
RH
New cylinder head bolts must be installed. They are a torque-to-yield design and cannot be reused.
CAMSHAFT BEARING
LH
Tighten the LH camshaft bearing cap bolts in the sequence shown in 2 stages.
Tighten to 10 Nm {1.0 kgf-m, 89 in-lbf}.
Individually loosen and then tighten each camshaft bearing cap to 10 Nm {1.0 kgf-m, 89 in-lbf}.
RH
Tighten the RH camshaft bearing cap bolts in the sequence shown in 2 stages.
Tighten to 10 Nm {1.0 kgf-m, 89 in-lbf}.
Individually loosen and then tighten each camshaft bearing cap to 10 Nm {1.0 kgf-m, 89 in-lbf}.
