Turbocharger Boost Pressure

BOOST CHECK

Fig. 3 Checking turbocharger boost pressure:

1. Cool the engine.
2. Disconnect hose ``A'', Fig. 3, and attach pressure gauge.
3. Warm engine to normal operating temperature.
4. Increase engine speed to 4000 RPM and check boost pressure. Boost pressure should be 0.28 psi.

TURBO INDICATOR

1. Start engine and run at 2000 RPM.
2. Raise air cleaner upper case and push measuring plate open.
3. Ensure indicator light illuminates.
