Compressor HVAC: Service and Repair

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Properly discharge the AC system.

3. Disconnect the wiring harness to the compressor clutch.

4. Loosen the locknut and adjusting bolts and remove the drive belt.

5. Disconnect and plug the refrigerant line at the compressor. Remove the mounting bolts and the compressor.

6. Place the compressor In position and install the mounting bolts. Attach the components in reverse order of removal. Install and properly adjust the drive belt.

7. Evacuate, recharge and test the system.
