Throttle Full Close Switch: Testing and Inspection

1. Start and operate engine at idle speed until normal operating temperature is obtained.
3. Connect a suitable voltmeter onto check connector terminal LgR.
4. Voltmeter reading obtained should be 12 volts.
5. Connect a suitable tachometer onto engine as per manufacturer's instructions.
6. Increase engine speed to above 2,000 rpm and decelerate slowly. Engine speeds and voltage readings should be as follows:
a. With an engine speed at idle voltmeter reading should be 12 volts.
b. With engine speed above 1,000-1,200 RPM,, voltmeter reading obtained should be 1.5 volts or less.
c. If readings do not agree with the specifications turn the adjusting screw.
