DESCRIPTION

If a clicking noise or sharp metallic noise is heard from the rear suspension during sudden acceleration from a stop or sudden deceleration on a rough road, check the left and right sub-frame nuts for proper torque as shown below. Also, if applicable, verify that a washer (P/N 9995 81 426) has been installed between the stopper washer and the sub-frame nut.
NOTE:
The tightening torque indicated in the 1986 and 1987 RX-7 Workshop Manuals is incorrect. Please make references to this bulletin in these manuals.
