1. Run engine until normal operating temperature is reached and continue to run at idle.
2. Connect a voltmeter to idle switch electrical connector, Fig. 14.
3. Increase engine speed to above 2000 RPM, then decelerate gradually while observing voltmeter. Voltage should measure less than 1.5 volt with with engine speed above 1000---1200 RPM and approximately 12 volts with engine running at idle. If voltage measurements are not as specified, rotate switch adjusting screw as necessary.
