Barometric Pressure Sensor: Testing and Inspection

Testing Atmospheric Pressure Sensor:

1. Connect a voltmeter to the atmospheric pressure sensor terminal wire "D".
2. Turn the ignition switch on and take a voltage reading. At sea level the voltage should be 3.5-4.5 volts. At high altitude (6,500 ft. above sea level) the voltage should be 2.5-3.5 volts.
3. Replace the sensor if necessary.
