Load Test

Fig. 7 No-load & Load Test Connections:

1. Connect ammeter between terminal B wire and terminal B of alternator, Fig. 7.
2. Turn all vehicle accessories "ON" and depress brake pedal.
3. Start engine, increase engine speed to 2500 - 3000 rpm. Ensure alternator minimum output is as specified:

B2200/B2600 with F2 engine: 55 amps.
B2200/B2600 with G6 engine: 60 amps.
Miata: 60 amps.
MPV: 70 amps.
626/MX-6 except turbo with auto. transaxle: 70 amps.
626/MX-6 turbo with auto. transaxle: 80 amps.
929: 70 amps.
RX-7: 60 amps.
323/Protege: 65 amps.
