Distributor Spacer & Cylinder Head Cover

Fig. 42 Applying Sealant To Cylinder Head:

1. On SOHC engines, apply engine oil to new O-ring, then install spacer together with O-ring, torquing to specification.
2. Place gasket in position on cylinder head cover assembly.
3. On DOHC engines, apply suitable sealant in shaded area as shown in Fig. 42.
4. On all engines, install cylinder head cover along with new seal washers, then torque cover bolts to specification.
