Ignition Timing: Adjustments
1. Check engine condition (spark plugs, leaks in hoses, etc.).
2. Turn all electrical loads "OFF."
3. Warm engine to operating temperature.
4. Connect a timing light.
Test Connector:
5. Ground test connector (Green: 1-pin) with a jumper wire.

6. Check that timing mark (YELLOW) on crankshaft pulley and mark on timing belt cover are aligned.
11° ± 1° BTDC

7. If timing is not within specification, loosen distributor lock bolts and rotate distributor housing to adjust.
8. Tighten the distributor lock bolts to 14 - 19 ft lb (19 - 25 Nm).
9. After adjustment, disconnect jumper wire from test connector.
