Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Testing and Inspection

1. Disconnect the intake air thermosensor connector.

Intake Air Thermosensor Testing:

2. Connect an ohmmeter to the sensor terminals.
3. Check the resistance of the sensor.

TEMPERATURE RESISTANCE (KOHMS)

25°C (77°F) 29.7-36.3
85°C (185°F) 3.3-3.7

4. If not as specified, replace the intake air thermosensor.
