Receiver Dryer: Service and Repair
Removal1. Discharge the refrigeration system.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Disconnect the right headlight and front combination light connector.
4. Remove the lower grille and radiator grille.
5. Remove the right front combination light and headlight.
6. Disconnect the liquid hose and liquid pipe.
Note: Immediately plug the open fittings to keep moisture out of the system.
7. Remove the receiver/drier.
Installation
- Install in the reverse order of removal, referring to the installation note.
Installation Note
a) Apply new compressor oil to the 0-rings before connecting the fittings.
b) Do not apply compressor oil to the fittings.
c) If the receiver/drier is replaced, add compressor oil.
Compressor 0il: 10.0 cm3 (0.61 cu.in)
Tightening torque
Liquid pipe and hose: 12.8-14.7 N.m (130-150 kgf.cm, 113-130 in.lbf)
