Oxygen Sensor: Service and Repair

Fig. 81 Component Replacement And Repair:

1. Unplug sensor connector from harness.
2. Remove sensor with suitable wrench or socket.
3. When installing new sensor or re-installing existing sensor, apply a thin coating of anti-seize to sensor threads.

NOTE: Do not contaminate sensing tip with anti-seize compound.

4. Install sensor and torque to 22 - 36 ftlb (29 - 49 Nm).
5. Plug in sensor connector to harness.
