Fuel Filter: Description and Operation
Fuel Filter:
PURPOSE
Remove particles from fuel that may cause component damage and/or clog fuel passages.
LOCATION
Right front engine compartment. A nylon filter "sock" is located at the pump fuel pick-up inside the gas tank.
OPERATION
System is designed so that fuel passes through filter before reaching injection components on engine.
CONSTRUCTION
Metal canister with paper filter element.
