Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Adjustments

Inhibitor Switch Adjustment:

1. Set gear selector to "N" position.
2. Loosen inhibitor switch mounting bolts.
3. Remove screw and move switch to align small hole with screw hole.
4. Set alignment by inserting a 0.079 in (2.0 mm) diameter pin through holes.
5. Tighten switch mounting bolts to 43 - 61 inlb (4.9 - 6.9 Nm).
7. Remove pin, install screw and tighten to 3.5 - 6.0 inlb (0.4 - 0.7 Nm).
8. Recheck continuity.
