Clutch Switch: Testing and Inspection

For the following procedure, it is necessary to remove starter magnetic switch from starter.

Refer to Fig. 11 for assistance.
1. Disconnect connector and connect ohmmeter to switch.
2. With pedal depressed, continuity should exist between the two terminals. With pedal released, continuity should not exist between the two terminals.
3. If either check is bad, replace switch.
