Neutral Switch (M/T)

These are "ON/OFF" switches. Located on the transmission, the neutral switch signals the ECU that the gear selector is either in neutral or any other position. The clutch switch is operated by the clutch pedal inside the vehicle and informs the ECU that the clutch is either engaged or disengaged. These inputs are utilized by the ECU in calculations for the outputs listed below:

^ Fuel injection quantity
^ Idle speed control valve
^ Pressure regulator control
^ Purge control solenoid valve
^ A/C relay/cut-off
