Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

1. Remove high tension leads from cap.
2. Disconnect wiring.
3. Turn crankshaft to #1 cylinder TDC.
4. Remove locknut or bolts and lift off distributor.

NOTE: Do not turn crankshaft after distributor removal.

INSTALLATION

NOTE: Verify that #1 cylinder is at TDC before installation.

1. Install distributor and connect wiring and high tension leads.
2. Set ignition timing and torque mounting bolts or locknut to 14 - 19 ft lb (19 - 25 Nm).
