Neutral Switch (M/T)

PURPOSE
Neutral switch signals the ECU that the gear selector is either in neutral or any other position. Clutch switch informs the ECU that the clutch is either engaged or disengaged.

LOCATION
Neutral switch is on transmission. Clutch switch is beneath dash adjacent to clutch pedal linkage.

OPERATION
These are ON/OFF switches. These inputs are used by the ECU in calculations for: fuel injection quantity, idle speed, pressure regulator control, purge control, A/C cut-off.
