Fuel Filter: Service and Repair

Fuel Filter R&R:

WARNING: Release fuel pressure. Keep sparks, cigarettes, and open flames away.

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove air cleaner housing for access.
3. Disconnect hoses from filter.
4. Remove filter and bracket.
5. Install new filter and torque bracket mount fasteners to 70 - 95.4 in lb (7.9 - 10.7 Nm).
6. After starting vehicle, check for leaks.

NOTE: Push fuel hoses fully onto filter fittings.
