INTAKE MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY MODIFICATION
APPLICABLE MODELS/VINS
All 1994 - 96 626/MX-6 with a 2.5L, V6 (KL Engine).
DESCRIPTION
The intake manifold has been modified to accommodate OBD II operating parameters. To standardize assembly components, the modified intake manifold was installed on the 1995 model year production (Engine No. KL 584698).
PARTS INFORMATION
^ When an intake manifold requires replacement, refer to the engine number and the reference table to determine the correct manifold part number.
^ Interchangeability - The modified intake manifold may be installed on 1994-95 626/MX-6 model vehicles produced prior to Engine No. KL 584698. However, a blind cap must also be installed over the vacuum pipe on the manifold. Refer to the illustration.
^ Non-modified intake manifold assemblies can not be installed on 1996 model year vehicles.
