Ignition Lock: Service and Repair

1. Remove steering wheel as previously outlined.
2. Remove combination switch as outlined under Combination Switch.
3. Remove upper steering column from vehicle, refer to Steering Column Service section.
4. Secure steering shaft in a vise.
5. Using a chisel, slot heads of steering lock mounting bolts.
6. Using a screwdriver, remove bolts.
7. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Install new steering lock mounting bolts with break off heads, then tighten bolts until heads snap off.
