Charging the System

When discharging refrigerant from the air conditioning system under the following conditions, use a Freon recovery machine to recover the refrigerant.
1. Before replacing parts on a refrigerant line.
2. When moisture or air gets in a refrigerant line.
3. When excess refrigerant is charged.
When using a Freon recovery machine, always follow the directions in the instruction manual. The amount of refrigerant oil lost during recovery must be measured and the same amount of oil added back to the system.
