Power Steering Pressure Switch: Description and Operation

DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
The Power Steering Pressure switch, located in the high pressure power steering line, CLOSES when the pressure reaches approximately 400-600 psi. When the Powertrain Control Module senses this signal, the idle speed is adjusted to compensate for the additional engine load.
