Cylinder Balance Test

Self-Diagnosis Function:

CYLINDER BALANCE TEST
1. Within 2 min. after receiving the Key ON Engine Running diagnostic trouble codes, depress the accelerator pedal and release it.
2. Note any diagnostic trouble code numbers and refer to the chart for the weak cylinder.

NOTE: If the accelerator cable is moved during the Cylinder Balance Test, diagnostic trouble code 538 will appear, indicating the test was not completed. Diagnostic trouble code 538 could also appear if diagnostic trouble code 214 is present. Refer to the appropriate inspection chart.
