EGR Valve and Components:

1. Disconnect the EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube at the EGR external pressure valve.
2. Remove the EGR valve retaining bolts and the EGR valve from the upper manifold.
3. Clean the mating surfaces, being careful not to allow debris to fall into the intake manifold.
4. Using a new gasket, install the EGR valve to the upper manifold. Install the retaining bolts and torque to 20 - 30 Nm (15 - 22 ft.lb).
5. Connect the EGR valve to the exhaust manifold tube and torque the nut to 34 - 47 Nm (25 - 35 ft.lb).
