Scan Tool Testing and Procedures
VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR Inspection 1.
Disconnect the vehicle speed sensor connector.
2.
Measure the resistance between the terminals of the vehicle speed sensor.
Resistance:
9O-25O Ohms 3.
If not as specified, replace the vehicle speed sensor.
Note: An EPC
solenoid that is shorted to ground may result in a false vehicle speed sensor code. Diagnose the EPC solenoid first, then recheck the VSS.
