Data Link Connector: Description and Operation

PURPOSE
The Data Link Connectors are used to access the Diagnostic Test Mode of the Powertrain Control Module.
There are two plug connectors used for accessing the Diagnostic Test Mode.
- One is the Self Test Output (STO) connector.
- The other is the Self Test Input (STI) connector.

OPERATION
Both connectors are coupled to the Special Service Tool (SST) Super STAR II Tester when performing system diagnosis.
