Mass Air Flow Sensor:





INSPECTION

CAUTION:
- Do not drop or subject the sensor to sharp shock.
- Do not put or allow anything in the sensor.

1. Disconnect the Mass Air Flow Sensor connector.
2. Remove the Mass Air Flow Sensor.

3. Check for damage of the sensor.
4. Reconnect the Mass Air Flow Sensor.
5. Disconnect the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connector.


Special Service Tool-SST (Breakout Box):





6. Connect the Special Service Tool (SST) "Break Out Box" to the PCM.


Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor (Test Connections):





7. Check the voltage at terminal 50 with a voltmeter.

8. if not as specified, replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor.

Tightening torque: 10 Nm (89 in.lb.)
