Do stoplights operate when brake pedal is depressed?

YES -- Go to Test 2.

NO -- Check stoplights. Refer to Lighting and Horns.

Testing and Inspection

TEST 2
Is Powertrain Control Module (PCM) terminal 2 voltage OK with PCM connector disconnected?

Brake pedal Voltage
Depressed Battery positive
voltage
Released Approx. 0 Volts

YES -- Replace PCM.

NO -- Repair wiring harness (Stoplight switch terminal [LG] - PCM terminal 2)
