Voltage Signal: Description and Operation

PURPOSE
"G1" signal is used to detect #1 cylinder TDC in the firing order and is used by PCME to calculate fuel injection timing.

"G2" signal is used to determine exact position of crankshaft at any time for ignition timing calculations. "Ne" signal corresponds to "G2" signal and is used to calculate engine speed.

OPERATION
System uses two separate pick-up coils; one generates "G1" signal and the other generates "G2" and "Ne" signals.
