Starter Motor: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove power steering belt, then power steering pump pulley.
3. Disconnect alternator connectors, then remove alternator.
4. Remove engine undercovers.
5. Disconnect automatic transmission cooler lines from power steering pump, then remove power steering pump, leaving hoses still attached.
6. Disconnect front propeller shaft.
7. Remove wiring harness bracket bolts.
8. Disconnect transmission oil cooler line mounting brackets.
9. Disconnect electrical connectors from starter motor.
10. Remove fuel and brake line cover.
11. Remove starter mounting bolts and starter.
12. Reverse procedure to install.
