Cylinder Block Assembly: Testing and Inspection

1. Check cylinder for leakage, damage or cracks. Replace block as required.
2. Measure distortion of top surface of cylinder block. If distortion exceeds 0.006 inch, grind cylinder block. Cylinder block can be ground a maximum of 0.008 inch.
3. Measure inner diameter of cylinder. If cylinder inner diameter is not 3.622 - 3.623 inch, cylinder must be bored to accept an oversize piston.
