Throttle Full Close Switch: Description and Operation

Idle Speed Control System:

PURPOSE
Signals PCME whether throttle is completely closed or not. PCME uses input in its calculations of:

^ Fuel injection quantity
^ Idle speed control
^ Purge solenoid valve operation
^ Pressure regulator solenoid valve operation
^ Ignition timing control (igniter)

LOCATION
Throttle body.

OPERATION
"ON/OFF" switch that is "ON" with throttle closed and "OFF" with throttle open to any other position.
