Idle Speed

Idle Speed Adjustment:

PREPARATION

1. Check engine condition (spark plugs, vacuum leaks, etc.).
2. Turn all electrical loads "OFF."
3. Warm engine to operating temperature.
4. Connect tachometer to data link connector terminal IG-. Connect timing light.
5. Apply parking brake.

ADJUSTMENT

1. Connect jumper wire between data link connector terminals TEN and GND.
2. Check that idle speed is within specification:

IDLE SPEED: 750 - 790 rpm

CAUTION: Throttle adjust screw is factory set and must not be adjusted. Any adjustment will adversely affect engine performance.

3. If adjustment is required, turn air adjusting screw. After setting idle speed, remove jumper wire.
