Air Bag Control Module: Service and Repair

Service and Repair

1. Remove the dashboard.

1. Nut 2. Diagnostic Module:

2. Remove in the order shown in the figure.
3. Install in the reverse order of removal.
4. Follow the troubleshooting flowchart to verify the air bag system is operating normally.
Diagnostic Strategies





Installation note:
- After servicing the air bag system, verify system operation by checking with the air bag system warning light. If the system is operating normally, the warning light will come on when the ignition switch is turned ON, then go oft after 4-8 seconds.
- If the warning light remains on or off, or continues flashing, it indicates a problem in the air bag system. Check the system again, referring to the troubleshooting guide.
