Neutral Safety Switch: Adjustments
Adjustment
1. Move the manual shaft to N position.
2. Loosen the park/neutral switch mounting Nuts.
3. Remove the screw on the switch body and move the park/neutral switch so that the screw hole is aligned with the small hole inside the switch. Check their alignment by inserting a 2.Omm {O.079 in} diameter pin through the holes.
4. Tighten the mounting nuts and remove the pin.
Tightening torque: 5.0-6.8 N.m (50-70 kgf.cm, 44-60 in.lbf}
5. Install and tighten the screw in the switch body.
6. Check the continuity of the park/neutral switch.
7. If not correct, replace the park/neutral switch.
8. Connect the selector lever.
Tightening torque: 45-63 N.m {4.5-6.5 kgf.m, 3~7 ft.lbf)
