Manual Transaxle

CAUTION:
^ Do not drop or subject sensor to sharp shocks.
^ Do not insert or allow anything in sensor.

1. Unplug sensor connector. Remove sensor from vehicle.
2. Check for obvious physical damage. Replace damaged sensor or re-install original.
3. Disconnect PCME connectors. Install Mazda SST Engine Signal Monitor and Adapter (or aftermarket equivalents).
4. Check voltage at terminal 2O under these conditions:

Ignition "ON" Engine Stopped: 1.0 - 1.5V
Engine Running: 1.5 - 5.0V

5. If not as specified, replace sensor.
