Neutral Switch (MTX)

PURPOSE
Neutral switch signals the PCME that the gear selector is either in neutral or any other gear position. Inputs are used by the PCME in calculations for these outputs: igniter (timing control), fuel injection quantity, idle speed, purge control, and A/C cut-off.

LOCATION
On transaxle.

OPERATION
This is an ON/OFF switch activated by movement of shift mechanisms inside the transaxle.
