Toe-In

1. Ensure steering angle is adjusted as outlined under Steering Angle in this section, then remove steering gear boot clamps.
2. Loosen left and right tie rod locknuts.
3. Turn both tie rods the same amount until specified adjustment is obtained. Both tie rods have righthand threads.
4. Tighten tie rod locknut as follows:
a. On 1993 - 94 Protege and 323 models, torque locknut to 25 - 29 ft.lb.
b. On 1993 - 94 MX-3 models, torque locknut to 9.5 - 13 ft.lb.
c. On 1995 - 96 models, torque locknut to 26 - 36 ft.lb.
5. If boot is twisted, loosen boot band and straighten.
