Transmission Temperature Sensor/Switch: Testing and Inspection

Inspection
1. Refer to "Service and Repair" for removal of the Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor.




2. Place the Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor in water with a thermometer as shown, and heat the water gradually.




3. Measure the resistance between the terminals of the sensor.
4. If not correct, replace the Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor.
5. Refer to "Service and Repair" for installation of the Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor.
